Mission Statement The mission of Brown Corners is to provide a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere of trust in God so that anyone may enter and experience the unmistakable presence of God. To bring every person to faith in Christ and see themselves as the ministers of the church, actively carrying out the ministry and message of Christ.	Vision Statement The vision of Brown corners is to provide vibrant worship services, using a mix of contemporary and traditional music, Biblical preaching and a focus on God’s nature. We provide training, instruction and encouragement for all to grow from a decision of accepting Christ into a responsible, capable, ministering Christian.
What Sets Us Apart? Our people do. Our pastor’s role is to prepare God’s people for works of service as explained in Ephesians 4:11&12. “It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.....”. We, as the body of Christ at Brown Corners, care and pray for, encourage, guide and help each other to grow spiritually.	Our Beliefs In 1815, the early United Brethren leaders adopted a Confession of Faith that briefly spells out the main beliefs we teach and live by. These doctrines have never changed. God - We belive there is only one God. At the same time, He is a three-in-one true God - the Father, the son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. Jesus - Though Jesus was a man, He was also fully God. He was born of a virgin, died on the cross, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. Someday, He will return. The Bible - The bible is the Word of God. It alone tells how people can enter heaven. Salvation - A blood sacrifice is required to remove sin. Christ’s death accomplished that for everyone. Through Him, we can receive eternal life. To be a true Christian, a person must believe in Christ, repent and be forgiven of his sins, and obey Christ.
United Brethren History The Church of the United Brethren in Christ was the first church born on American soil. It began as a spritual movement among the German speaking people of Pennsylvania. The early leaders were from the German Reformed Church and the Mennonite Church. Together they began holding community-wide services in the 1750s, and by the close of the 1700s, the United Brethern Church began to take shape.
