Confession

In 1815, the early
United Brethren leaders adopted a Confession of Faith
that briefly spells out the main beliefs we teach and
live. Below is an abbreviated version of these doctrines
that have never changed. God- We believe there is only one God. At the same time, He is the three-in-one triune God -- the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. Jesus- Though Jesus was a Man, He was also fully God. He was born of a virgin, died on the cross, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven. Someday, He will return. The Bible-The Bible is the Word of God. It alone tells how people can enter heaven. Salvation- A blood sacrifice is required to remove sin. Christ's death accomplished that for everyone. Through Him, we can receive eternal life. To be a true Christian, a person must believe in Christ, repent and be forgiven of his sins, and obey Christ. To learn more about the history and doctrine of the United Brethren in Christ Church please go to the UB Headquarters. When we really want a revival as bad as we want material things, we will begin to do the things that will help to promote or bring about a revival. Malachai says, "Bring all the tithes into the store house, and prove me now herewith and see if I will pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room to receive it." Tithes mean our time and talents as well as money, and if all the folks that ought to get in would, and all that have been robbing God for these years would pay up, what could we do in extending the kingdom! |
